With the extremely high percentage of Americans currently living in urban environments (81% and growing!), the folks at Truly Living Well recognize that bringing farming into cities is not only a good idea, but an essential one if we are to secure and sustain a sufficient fresh food supply for all. With farm sites located across Metro Atlanta, TLW provides Certified Naturally Grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers and other added-value products to the community, as well as green space to promote creativity and hands-on learning for the young and old interested in growing food organically and sustainably. Rashid Nuri, who has more than forty years of managing public, private and community based food and agriculture businesses across 35 countries worldwide, founded TLW in 2006. The goal was - and is - to demonstrate how food can be a bridge across diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences, and "to use food production as the plate on which we create a culture of health and wellness in our community."
